The Closer I Come was written to people who seem to keep God at a distance. I wanted to encourage them to draw nearer. God says, "...if we draw nigh to Him, He would draw nigh to us..." Drawing closer adds such richness to our lives. This richness is often the very thing aloof people seek, but they are afraid to trust Him for it; afraid to pay the cost of intimacy. Sometimes people’s beliefs or church doctrines fail to encourage intimacy with God, but God longs for it. Intimacy is a precious jewel. Draw nigh to Him.
